For the first year, he is offering you a 90% scholarship. His university charges $30,000 per year in tuition fees for students. Additionally, there are costs of $10,000 per year for meals in the university dining hall and accommodation in the student dormitories. Therefore, without any scholarship through Europe Ballers, the total cost for one academic year would be $40,000.
What does this mean for you?
Since you are receiving a 90% sports scholarship, the university will waive $36,000 per year if you play soccer for the university team. This leaves you with remaining costs of $4,000 for the entire first year – which is less than $300 per month. As an incentive, the coach has indicated that the scholarship could potentially increase to 95% or even 100% next year if you perform well both athletically and academically! With a full scholarship, the university would cover all costs for you.
